The brief for this animation was to use one of three of the songs that Sky Arts sent you. The song was ten seconds long, this did not leave me with a lot of time to play with. I wanted to play with light streaks after seeing the new Tron movie. After many tutorials and tests, I was able to make up my own way of manipulating lights streaks and I thought this would be a brilliant idea to use to outline Sky Arts. I then went to add orbs to give a sense of depth and space in the animation.
Crimson Hood
This was a story we made up for fun that turned into a group project. It was meant to be a spoof of the super hero genre. The three of us decided to use our own style for the sections we animated. We got this idea from Batman: Gotham Knight, that was split into different parts, each part was animated in a different style. The animation didn't have to be completely finished as the brief only asked for an animatic (rough animated storyboard). I animated from 0:46 to 1:07 in Toon Boom then put all the clips together in After Effects. The beginning section of the 3D city was from Google sketch.
